**** UPDATE 21/03/20 **** IF YOU PLAN TO VISIT PLEASE READ
We are open this weekend, but we have a number of significant changes in our procedures to reduce the risk to both visitors and staff alike.
For us to remain open, we really need everyone to respect the choices we have made and work with us for the good of all. Should these changes not be adhered to, we will have no choice but to close the centre for the foreseeable.
Firstly, if you are in one of the more vulnerable categories of society, have any of the symptoms of coronavirus, or have been in contact with anyone who has had those symptoms, please do not visit.
Exercise social distancing at all times, whether in the car park, visitor centre or forest, maintain a safe distance between all others. Respect visitors and staff alike by maintaining at least a 1.5m gap between yourself and others.
The cafe are operating a take out service only.
The number of visitors permitted within the cycle centre may be limited if we get busy. Please respect this if it happens.
Wherever possible, pay by card.
The shop, whilst remaining open, access will be restricted due to available space in the retail area. Please be patient with staff, they will do their best to help you.
We will no longer be hiring out full suspension, or electric bikes, due to the requirement for breaking the social distancing regulations during the setup process. Our standard hardtail fleet is still available.
When out on the trails, ride well within your abilities at all times. Do not take risks, wear a helmet. Ride a grade lower than you usually would. The ambulance service is already stretched, don’t be the one to make that worse!
Above all, be sensible and respect the wellbeing of others and society in general. Come and enjoy the fresh air and ability to ‘get away from it all’ in the forest, but take the precautions required during these unprecedented times.
